Hello Rotarians! Please join us for our lunch meeting on September 15th in the Rotary Room at the Kenan Center Arena. The Speaker for the Day will be: Joshua Wesbee, Salvation Army of Lockport **NEW lunch option Members have the option of ordering lunch from the Harrison Cafe for $10/person. This will consist of a homemade sandwich of the day and homemade soup of the day OR sandwich and salad, OR just salad. The lunch choice for next week includes: Sandwich: Chicken Slovakia with pita bread Soup: Tomato basil with shaved Romano cheese Salad: Greek Salad All we need to know by the Friday (9/11) before the meeting is a "soup and sandwich" OR "salad and sandwich" OR "salad only" in the comment area. If you leave it blank I will assume your lunch choice is a no. Members will pay for their lunch at the meeting with cash, check or Venmo. **NEW VENMO** Dan Colpoys has agreed to take over the treasurer responsibilities. The Rotary Club of Lockport has been carrying out an environmental community service for many years with its twice yearly highway cleanup along Saunders Settlement Road (RT.31 west of Lockport) and its intersection with the Lockport Bypass/Upper Mountain Road extending over 2 miles to Campbell Blvd./Junction Road. We really need at least 12 volunteers in order to complete this task on Saturday the 17th. If you are not available nor physically able to participate, consider recruiting friends, relatives and older youth. Dress appropriately for the weather including footwear for wet grass. We have some pairs of gloves and grippers to reduce bending and handling trash. Coffee, water and snacks will be supplied. If we have at least 12 people, this can be a good time of fellowship as you are matched with a work partner.
